Using the Services alone is not treated as consent to non-essential cookies.

Note on Mobile App: On the mobile app, language and locale preferences are stored locally on your device via encrypted storage (AsyncStorage with SecureStorageService), not via browser cookies. This data never leaves your device. The website uses the user_preferences cookie for the same purpose.

2.3 Analytics Cookies (Optional)

These cookies help us understand how you use our Services.

What We Track:

• Time spent on pages
• Device type and browser
• Geographic location (city/region)

We DO NOT track:

• Personal messages or journal content
• Payment information
• Precise location without permission

2.4 Marketing Cookies (Optional)

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we introduce targeted advertising in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be obtained before any such cookies are placed.

3. Other Tracking Technologies

3.1 Web Beacons (Pixels)

Small invisible images embedded in emails or web pages that:

3.2 Local Storage

3.4 Fingerprinting

We use device fingerprinting solely for ban evasion prevention. When a user is permanently banned for violating our Terms of Service, their device fingerprint is recorded and checked during registration and login to prevent the creation of new accounts. We do NOT use device fingerprinting for advertising, user tracking, analytics, or any other purpose. Users in good standing are not fingerprinted. See our Privacy Policy Section 2.5 for full details.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We use cookies from trusted third-party services:

We currently handle support through our in-app support ticket system. No third-party customer support cookies are used.

5.4 Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Our website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. There is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, and we have not yet implemented automated handling of them. This disclosure is made consistent with California law (CalOPPA / CCPA).

We do honor the opt-out choices you make directly:

• Non-essential cookies are off by default and set only after you opt in via the cookie banner (see Introduction and Section 5.1)
• You can withdraw cookie consent at any time via Footer > Cookie Settings (website) or Settings > Privacy > Cookie Preferences (mobile app)
• We do not sell personal information or use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale/sharing to opt out of (see Section 8.3)

If we add automated DNT/GPC handling in the future, we will update this section.

6. Impact of Disabling Cookies

If You Disable Essential Cookies:

7. Teens, Parents, and Cookie Settings

Donny Wonny is for users 13 and older; we do not offer accounts for children under 13. Some regions require a higher minimum age — see Section 6 of our Privacy Policy for the full regional age matrix.

For teen users (13–17) and parent/guardian accounts linked through Family Dashboard:

• Only essential cookies are required for sign-in, security, and core features
• Non-essential analytics cookies require consent where applicable
• No targeted advertising based on cookie profiles
• Parents and guardians can review linked teen accounts and manage feature restrictions via Family Dashboard
